Even though Korean BBQ is awesome and everything, BBQ Hut took out the all you can eat meat. You just lost a customer.

Went here with friends for dinner. We all had the all you can eat Korean BBQ. Eventhough the server had quite a few tables we were given our food in good time. The food here was also very good and on par with other korean BBQ's I have been to in the area. One note of caution is to wear cloths that you don't mind having smell like smoke. When you cook the food at your table your cloths will pick up the smoke. This is true of all Korean BBQ's though. All and all the food here is very good and the service is good as well. I look forward to going back.

I came here ready for the all you can eat like I've done in the past. I was all geared up and ready to consume large amounts of protein! Unfortunately upon entering, I learned that this is no longer an option. The hostess explained that they swapped it out in exchanged for larger portions of single choices of meats and better quality. I was a bit skeptical however dinner still turned out just fine... well good actually. I admit that the quality of the Kalbi, short ribs and wine marinated pork belly was a bit better. The seasoned / marinated meats had a lot of flavor and overall I loved the other dishes we ordered too. My wife and I loved the Kim Chi Bulgogi Bibimbop and spicy seafood soup. Still loved the side dishes and our service was great. They even gave us another order of Kalbi on the house! BTW. The beef short rib was really thick and super meaty. It helps that you're a good griller and don't over-cook your meat... which we didn't. =oP If you're in the Schaumburg / Woodfield area, this is a pretty good place if you're in the mood...

Just had lunch here with the fam. Food was very delicious, but I don't know if it was worth the price. At most Korean barbeque places, the service is lacking and I can't even get my water refilled. But here, service was attentive. I'm torn between 3 or 4 stars, but choose 4 stars since the service is relatively superior to competing Korean bbq restaurants. If you don't mind paying a little bit on the pricer side, then this is a reliable place to get good quality Korean food.

Unfortunately BBQ Hut no longer has unlimited all you can eat. This means spending a lot more to get your fill. I love Korean BBQ but BBQ Hut probably wouldn't be my favorite place to go. Meat is decent, some pieces are a little older so tough to chew and flavor is light and nothing special. Sides and such were delicious and had a wide variety. What was nice is that they refilled them without being asked. Veggies(lettuce and green onion mix) were fresh but for some reason weren't refilled consistently. I love my veggies and eat a lot of them! Rice didn't come out until halfway through our meal and by that time we were too full to consume the portions. The soup that I usually love was meh. Not as good as the other places I've been to. Atmosphere was fun, nice big screen TVs playing Korean Pop. I didn't understand a word but it was fun to see the music videos. Service was lackluster. We had a big group so that might be why. Didn't get refills on water unless asked and they just weren't very friendly. Overall the experience was ok. I wish they still had the unlimited, definitely would've made a difference. Otherwise there's plenty of other places in the burbs for Korean BBQ.

So..... I used to LOVE this place.... Went in yesterday for lunch with a friend who is an avid yelper. We were both disappointed. Service was horrible, food was god awful. KALBI used to be great here, don't know what happened.... Needless to say, we'll never come back!

For $22.95 you get all-you-can-eat meat, which is half the price of a Brazilian steakhouse, a third of the quality, and twice as fun/confusing. My fiancee and I split 5 meats between the two of us and 13 hours later I'm still full. The most flavorful were the galbi and the spicy pork, while the overall best quality of meat ratio to flavor would probably be the bulgogi. The pork belly and beef brisket were plain and fatty, but still good when you at them with kimchi or dipped them in the peppered sesame oil sauce. Try and keep your waitress engaged with you, because she'll come around to adjust the flame, cut up your meat and show you how to cook certain things. As others have mentioned, it's not the highest quality of meat or anything, but dip it in sauce, have a bit of kimchi, or eat it with rice and you won't even notice.

I found my go to Korean BBQ joint! Like all Korean BBQ place, you will get multiple sides with a side of poor service. BBQ Hut kalbi is well seasoned/marinated, I also liked the non-marinated kalbi as well. I especially like the gas grill with lump charcoal added for additional grilled flavor. Next time I have a craving for a Korean BBQ you'll find me here.

What did i order: The all you can eat. Price: Decently priced for the area. What I liked: The side dishes, vegetable bar What I didn't: Quality of meat was OK - not bad but not the best I've had Overall: I'd go back

My friend from SoCal and I had been talking about trying to find a Korean BBQ restaurant in my area, when after we read all the Yelp! Reviews we decided upon this one. BBQ Hut is located in a strip mall with a number of asian restaurants, including ANOTHER Korean restaurant across the parking lot from them. There is also a Thai place and a Chinese/Dim-Sum place as well. You could say this particular strip mall in Hoffman Estates is like a asian food court, but on a bigger scale. Anyway, I digress, as we come in, we're greeted by host and asked if we are doing BBQ and we reply in the affirmative. We also had the kids with us and it was their first time trying the whole Korean BBQ experience. We sit down and they serve us hot tea as well as water. We all decide to just go full-on Korean BBQ for everyone and go for the UNLIMITED option. You get to pick 3 different meats (to begin with) from their diverse menu of marinated and non-marinated meats. We went for the Bulgoki, Galbi, and Non-Spicy Chicken (for the kids). Their meats were quite tasted and the meat was of good quality. Also, the vast array of banchan was quite good. My favorite is the garlic beanspouts. They had a jalapeno pickled daikon as well as the usual kimchee. Then, we tried more Bulgoki and Samgyeopsal (unsalted bacon) to finish off the meal. We had the kids with us and it was a school night, so, we had to hurry it up. We would have indulged our inner carnivore more, but time+kids were an issue. :) Plus, there were quite a number of Korean patrons at the tables that were occupied. So, it MUST be good, right? The service was pretty awesome, maybe because we had kids and the women serving us were all doting on our kids. They gave them a little yogurt treat at the end, which was nice. :) Also, we went in the middle of the week at around 8pm, so, I'm sure the dinner rush was already done. We definitely plan on visiting this place when we can kids or no kids. The UNLIMITED option is $22.95 for adults and $11.95 for kids. There have been mentions of a gratuity issue and if you have a group, but like one or more in the group doesn't go for the BBQ. We didn't experience these things went we went. There was a 15% gratuity, but with the service we go, it's more than worth it. They have a "service button" so, if you need a drink, more meat, and/or more banchan...ring away! If you are going for Korean BBQ, bring a big group...their tables seat 8 to a table with two charcoal burners for optimum meat grilling. They do have other NON-BBQ choices on the menu, but I'm here for the BBQ! If I want just standard Korean cuisine, I'll go to a non-BBQ restaurant. Oh, and watch your hands near the charcoal grills or else you will grill more than just the bulgoki! ;) Overall, YUMMY with a capital YUM! :) I'm so happy to have found this Korean BBQ place...yay for more food options in the burbs! ;)

Amazing service! Went here with my girlfriends on a Friday night. Our waitress was really helpful and attentive. We ordered Kalbi, pork belly, and bim and bop. All good choices. She even gave us a free order of bulgogi!! I will be back with my family.

Have a few hours... want to meet up with friends and socialize for a bit... while you cook your own meat and eat? Yes.. this is a good place to go. Been here with lots of friends and family. Nice place in Schaumburg/Roselle area. Lots of parking outside. You kind of share it with a Jewel grocery store. Service is good. Could use a few more servers, but at least they are somewhat attentive here. Since we went in groups of 8 or more, we called in and reserved our seats. So we were seated right away on my visits. It is about $22 per person for all you can eat. You can pretty much ask for any kinda of meat, and they bring it to you... best thing i like about this place is, you can ask for several different kinda of meat, and they don't mind bringing them over. Ive been to places before where they won't bring it, until you've finished whats cooking on your grill first. The meats are marinated well and portion wise is pretty good too. There is a small buffet table with lettuce, mushrooms, onions etc... so you can just get up and grab as much as you want, to eat with your meats. They do serve side dishes as well. But I don't think they have alot of varieties. Mainly some pickled radishes, kimchees, etc. After the meal, we were served a ginger cinnamon drink. Which is nice, but not really my thing. I'm not a ginger fan. I've enjoyed myself here, all the times I've been here. I have no complaints. If you need to get your Korean bbq in, this is a great place to get it. Side note - You might not want to wear very nice clothes here... cus you'll smell like bbq and smoke afterwards. Although, they do have better ventilations then any place i've gone to, you still smell afterwards.

Apparently, just earlier this month, Bbq Hut has ended their all you can eat meat. The server was very nice in explaining the new format to us, and I actually felt bad for her because I'm sure she's had to explain how things are to many disappointed hungry people. But even her niceness doesn't cancel out the disappointment of the all you can eat.

So it is no longer all you can eat and they other two selection now with a hot plate or grill. We opted for the grill and I was more mesmerize by non stop girl generation video that i forgot that I wasn't that happy with my food. The korean pancake was not fluffy or crispy with limited seafood and the kalbi didn't come with anything until we had to ask for it. the pork belly was dry and aside from the company I didn't have a great experience, but i will give it another chance later on.

I really liked the food here! They had the usual menu of any other Korean restaurant and a grill and everything, but what stood out to me was that they had a separate little bar that had raw vegetables and rice cakes (duk boki) for you to cook on the grill. I thought that was fantastic. I love dukk boki! I was able to put it into the spicy pork that we ordered. It comes wrapped in foil so it was easy to put the rice cake in to absorb all the flavors. The staff there was really nice and compliment us on our outfits. It's about 20 dollars for all you can eat for lunch. I liked the spicy pork and the bulgogi the best.

Wish I read the reviews before coming here. I've never had a Korean BBQ experience, so I asked my grandma if we could check this place out. However, after reading the prices and realizing it'd probably be better with a big group, we just ordered some entrees. The food was ok. I've had better Korean. My grandma was stomaching it so not to appear disappointed by my choice, but I know her to well. But the service? Complete ass. We were the only people there that morning, with three people working the floor. There's no excuse for why we had to wave them down for a fork, or water, or the check. They just sat at their table gossiping away. Never did any of them check on us. And on our way out, when we asked for a bag for our leftovers, the lady had the nerve to look offended. I'd rather go to the Pizza Hut than this P O S Hut.

Whenever I want Korean food I end up going to this place for their unlimited BBQ meats. At first I was was like ehhh this is like every Korean BBQ place I've been to but the staff is really nice here. I'm in love with their meat and squid spicy thing (sorry, I have no idea what it's called) and it was delicious. The soju are great prices and so are the rest of the menu. I'd definitely give this place a shot if you're looking for Korean BBQ in the northwest burbs.

I'll say that the food is delicious. The price here for a bbq buffet, I believe, is cheaper compared to the other Korean BBQ restaurants that I have been to but not by much. Their food is good and there are condiments for your cooking in the middle of the restaurant which I like. You can get your own condiments for your bbq for your liking. You don't have to wait for the waiters to get it for you. Speaking of service, I was not too happy with the service here. There are buttons on your table to get their attention for services. Sometimes you'll just have to ring more than once in order to do so.

We had lunch here last week and they charge $22 which is not bad. The Bulgoki and Spare ribs marinated is good. They replace the grill cover every time we get a set of 3 types of meat. Stay away from the intestine, too rubbery for my taste. Side dishes are decent. Overall didn't had a bad experience with the service. The Beer(Hite) is decently price. I usually order the suggested beer/saki on any Asian restaurant, not bud or miller.

Bottom line GOOOODDD FOOODDDDDD, you dont really find too many korean BBQ places in the burbs. I went here a couple of times wiht my friends, the food is fantastic. The building is nice and new which is also a plus. If you go to some places in the city the buildings a little older and not as clean. I was surpised on how clean this place was. I would highly recommend going to this place with a group of friends. It's loads of fun and I swear their kalbi is so tender and amazing!!!

i like this place. good chadolbaegi, good marinated kalbi. i usually just come here for those 2 meats. i also like that they provide duk to grill. probably not the smartest thing to do to fill up on duk, but grilled duk is yum.

We went on a quiet Thursday evening around 7. About half the restaurant eventually filled up while we were there, and it was overall a pretty good atmosphere for dinner. They give you alot of banchan dishes (little side dishes) and the all you can eat is $22 I believe. You start off with 3 types of meat, and then after that you can order additional ones. We had: Bulgogi: not bad Galbi: really good - will get again Spicy pork: not bad Bulgogi with squid: really good - will get again Service was pretty good, and remember, if you ever need service they have those buttons at your table to ring for service. They don't point it out when you're seated, so alot of people don't realize, but it's nice since then they don't have to check on you all the time and interrupt your conversation. Our server might have been the owner; she was very sweet and nice. Note to newbies: If the meat you ordered for the grill comes in a foil pack, you put the foil pack directly on the grill, wrapped up. Don't open it up and put the contents on the grill. That is wronnnnng and you may get yelled. We let our server put the meat on the grill for us, so we found out discreetly that the foil pack goes directly on the grill, since she did it for us. If you want rice, ask for it! Not everyone eats rice, so they won't serve it unless you ask, and it's pretty quick from when you ask to when you receive it. Lettuce/veggie/mushroom/sweet potato bar is nice, since you can help yourself. FYI grilling the mushrooms and eating it with the meat is awesome... Bathrooms are very clean; I was pleasantly surprised, since chinese restaurants usually have really gross bathrooms. Why can't they learn from the Koreans? Sigh. Will be returning Thursday of this week with a bigger group. Last I went I didn't remember seeing large tables, most accommodate 4, so i'll update after on larger group accommodation.

This place has gotten worse! I went there with a big party and we ordered the all you can eat bbq for $23pp. They do still have it, but I found out they no longer offer kalbi with the all you can eat, so we had spicy bulgogi and brisket. That was fine, but the worst part about it was the service. The ladies there either don't understand when you order meat, or they don't have food ready in the back. There were several rounds of meat we were waiting for a good 20 minutes, I don't know why it took so long, but it was terrible. Plus they never filled our water, took away empty dishes, or came by to see if we were ok. I am never going back there again. The quality went down and the service sucks. DO NOT GO THERE!

*EDIT* I just noticed I made a typo, the address should be 1147 North Roselle Road, not 147. This is one of those Korean BBQ where you can cook the food right at your table. It doesn't look like much from the outside, just tucked away behind a Denny's in some random strip mall. But the decor inside is great, the owner is very cool, and the food is excellent. They have a special going right now where you can eat as as you can hold down for $20/person. If you've been to other Korean BBQ you probably remember how the price per tray of meat means you have to bring lots of friends with you to make eating this food affordable. But here, the pressure is off and the owner is quite generous. They will bring you steamed rice, miso soup and other goodies if you ask, but mainly it's just about the BBQ. Be sure to order a bottle of "OB" (Korean beer) to go with your food!

Wow. I am so glad that I came here. It all started when I noticed a picture on my friend's Facebook page of a dinner she had here in the past. I just had to find out where it was as I HAD to eat there. I found out that it was here and with the same friend, came for dinner. There were hardly any people there but we did have an early 5:30 dinner. We did the all you can eat option which is about $30/person with tax and tip. And this is a great deal people. We ordered galbi and chadulgui. The galbi had a great marinade and the flavor was fantastic. There is a little chill bar with vegetables, such as lettuce, mushrooms and onions, that you could bring back to grill with the meats. The banchans were plentiful and the service was great! That normally doesn't happen at Korean places. They have a call button to get a servers attention which is great. No more flagging down a server! The ladies kept bringing us plates and didn't rush us to stop eating or leave. Three hours later and 5 plates of meat, we threw in the towel. We both talked of getting more but thought that would be glutenous. :-) This is the best Korean AYCE restaurant I have been to since the one I used to frequent had closed. I am so happy to have been introduced to BBQ Hut but saddened that it is so far from my house. I'll just have to set up appointments that require me to be out in the burbs so I can come here for dinner. Later that night as I was sleeping, the hubs came to bed after me and I told him, "I want more Korean BBQ." Yes. It was THAT amazing.

BBQ Hut is a korean restaurant with an all you can eat option. The only thing I've had here is the all you can eat, which runs about $30 after tax/tip and no drinks. The meat selection is pretty good but the winners for me are always the chadolbaggy (thin brisket) and the kalbi (marinated, though they have unmarinated too). Sometimes my dining companions order pork belly, spicy pork, and beef tongue but I usually stick with the aforementioned 2. Meat quality is pretty good and consistent. For me the second judging point for a korean place is the panchan. This place is pretty good with variety, you get the classics and usually 2-3 things that rotate each time. I haven't had anything phenomenal but most of it is good. The service is fairly asian but as long as you're aggressive about pushing the call button or flagging a waiter, you'll be fine. Sometimes if you're lucky for dessert they'll give you some sweet rice drink. They run out occasionally and that's sad. Whenever we want some solid korean bbq we usually end up here. It's a bit far from our house but as soon as that grilled meat touches your mouth all is forgotten.

Always wanted to try a Korean BBQ place, so my boyfriend and I decided to try the BBQ Hut. We felt a little out of place walking in there and didn't really understand the menu or the waitress. But she did her best at helping us. We got the Bulgoki and Galbi (what I was familiar with from my grandmas cooking). It was fun cooking the food yourself at the table. But man do you stink when you get out of there. It was good, but to much meat for my liking. A little pricey.

I was craving red meat and didn't want to go too far so BBQ Hut seemed like the logical option. For a saturday night it wasn't busy at all which seemed odd to me. We opted for the AYCE bbq option. I thought that the side dishes (ban chan) were really good and slightly above average to normal korean restaurants. Usually you have to ask the servers for lettuce for the bbq and they get annoyed and stingy by the 3rd or 4th plate but this place had a self serve area of veggies you can grill along with the self serve lettuce. Solid. I tried the marinated galbi and pork belley...the meats were ok. Definately not high quality meat but you get what you pay for. I would come here again if I have a craving for meat and I don't want to drive all the way to Niles. **I forgot to add that the service was pretty horrible. We had to flag down servers for water and additional meat orders because they never checked up on us.

Only having tried Korean bbq once before (and with very rude service), I was expecting the same kind of service here. Not the case. Erwin P. and I went for dinner last night because strangely enough, all I wanted was Korean bbq with all the fixins' (bring on the pickled everything!) We got the unlimited special ($22pp) so that we could try a few different meats. Our server helped us with our first set of choices, showed us to the "veggie bar" and took our drink orders. The veggie bar has sliced mushrooms, sweet potato, huge lettuce leaves, and other things. I took a glance and went back to our table. I wanted meat and kimchi. Thanks. :) Our server started up our grill and went to get the huge assortment of side dishes (called banchan) that included miso soup (delicious with zucchini), about 3 types of pickled veggies, 2 others, kimchi, salad, and rice. We chose galbi and bulgogi to start with. The galbi was so good! Juicy and perfectly marinated. The bulgogi was good too, just a bit too thin for me (i.e. a little dry unless you only grilled it for about 20secs each side). The last meat we tried, however, was the star: chadolbaegi. Thin slices of beef (menu said brisket? but def was not brisket), rolled up and heaped onto a plate. They brought a little mixture for us to dip the meat in before grilling since it wasn't already marinated. The mixture must've been something like sesame oil, salt, pepper... maybe something else? Either way, a little dip in there, onto the grill and into my mouth. I wish we had ordered this first! It was seriously delicious and the best part of the meal. Now I know what to order every single time I'm doing Korean bbq! After we chowed down, our server brought some sweet rice water which was the perfect palate cleanser. It tasted like orchata to me, and was a lovely ending. Overall, for not being a Korean customer, being a newbie, and trying a new spot, we had a really good experience at BBQ Hut and will definitely be back! Service was good (not spectacular), helpful and friendly. Food was good enough to bring me back. Sidenote: a huge plus is that halfway during our meal, they replaced our grill grate with a clean one!

I have to say, I like their BBQ, their Kalbe, everything just good EXCEPT their service,it is the worst! If you go there to eat don't expect they will respect you! They just treat you like a piece of shxt and think you won't tip them so no matter how many people you go there to eat, they want to charge you 18%, I was like...what the heck??? I went there with my girlfriends since we were craving for KBBQ, alright, once they sat us down then have to wait for long to order the food, they were about to not let us to do BBQ because one of my girlfriend didn't feel well that night so she just want to order some rice soup, OK, at the beginning the server didn't let us to do BBQ, I said"Well your menu said the minimum to do turn on the stove to do BBQ are 2 peoples, why we can't do that?? I even pointed at the menu! Then that server got nothing to say but said my sick girlfriend can't touch the beef....OK yes mum, she won't touch anyway but they just weird! The whole dinner when you ask for something you need to wait at least 5-10 minutes from them to come back, gosh! OK, the best part was when we asked for the check, the server, who is the woman gave us the bad service for the whole night said" I will put 18% tips on the top of your bill, is it ok?" I said :"Of course NOT OK, Why? you couldn't do that since we only have 3 peoples here, it's not the party more than 5 or 7, where is your point??"..Then, she turned her head off from me and acted so mad....Gosh...if you not so happy then DON'T work, I'm NOT your husband! If you can take all the crap like that, you can go try their food, otherwise, forget it and make your life happier!

Horrible service!!! First time I'm doing a bad review, just because I can't help but say how bad this place is when it comes to their service. First, the place was not packed for a Saturday night yet we had to wait extremely long for our orders. There's also communication issue, which is basically my nice way of saying they can't understand basic English. And finally, the table next to me asked for water from the waitress cleaning another table. This waitress then went to the kitchen with her tray of dirty dishes and instead of reaching for a clean glass to put water, she used one of the dirty glasses from her tray and just dumped the contents on the sink and refilled it with water. Saw this with my own eyes because I was sitting on the table right by their kitchen. As for the food, we ordered their $22/unlimited meat, and aside from soy sauce that I had to request to flavor it (even when I ordered the meat that's marinated), it's still bland bland bland.....

I went threre for the 1st time a few days ago for a quick lunch and was surprised and happy to experience this place. I could not believe the number of complimentary appetizers you get to start with. I ordered the spicy pork lunch or bento styke box and I must say the flavors were really good given the spiciness of the pork and the tartness and sweetness of some of the appetizers. All in all it was a nice contrast of flavors. Service was very nice too and it was very inexpensive. I will return someday.

I'm going to make this simple: Good: meat was great, tender, and quality of the kalbi was great. Bad: Ran out of kalbi! (you serious??? Yes!) Okay if I'm going to pay $30 dollars for kalbi buffet, I expect to get kalbi until I do not want anymore, not when the restaurant runs out or decides not to give any more. It was terrible as my friends sat their in disbelief that they would claim to not have any more marinated kalbi. simply disappointing. That is just poor customer service and business management. I'm sorry but a kalbi jeep (buffet) turning into just a jeep (buffet) is absurd! If they didn't run out of meat this would definitely get 4 stars easily based on taste and quality but don't expect to get your fill as you should. Also the bulgogi for lunch was a major disappointment as well. The meat was over cooked and just flaky. So its your gamble, maybe it was on a very busy day but there should be no excuses. I'd rather go to song do, cheaper, farther, less quality but cheaper and you will get all the kalbi you want.

Food was ok, typical Korean BBQ affair, but the worst part of this restaurant was its services and its self imposed 18% gratuity. I went there with 4 people for BBQ buffet, the menu clearly stated that the 18% gratuity only applies to 6 people and above, but we were presented the bill with the 18% tips. We immediately questioned the waitress about it, she had no answer for it and almost pretended that she didn't speak any English at all. Seeing the situation, we reluctantly obliged and paid, but I vowed not to go back again. The worst has yet to come, however; one of the waitresses took our paid bill to the counter, yet she didn't know that we had included the 18% already. So, when we were ready to leave, she stopped us, using a very harsh and impolite tone, accusing us of missing 18% tips. We shown her the tips were paid, and she awkwardly said thank you but didn't apologise for the mistake. This is a horrible place.

I've been here quite a few times. This is my favorite Korean BBQ place in the Chicago area. The meat here is well marinated and a lot tastier than Woori Village or Jang Choong Dong. Actually Jang Choong Dong doesn't even marinate the meat, although their service is much better. Solga is another gem, but can be pricey. BBQ Hut is a good all-around Korean BBQ joint. Service at BBQ Hut is good enough. Nothing to write home about, but pretty good. I bet if this place were closer to Niles/Morton Grove area where many Koreans live, this place would be a lot busier.

Service was awful I went here with my mom and ordered our food, and the server was walking around so I called her but she just walked by even though I screamed "excuse me" 3 times real loud. And finaly she turned around smiling like it was a game she as playing. The people sitting next to us had a problem too and they argued and walked out. So I get my food and I am deathly alergic to eggs and I specificaly told the waitress no egg and he said ok and takes it away and 2 seconds later she bring it back "clearly just throwing away the egg that was in top" I had to pick out every vegetable the egg had touched so I wouldn't die. The waitress was then wearing cleaning gloves and using windex to clean the other tables while she was still serving us rice and while we were still eating. Was a horrid place I excpect for a restaurant to have good service and good food, bit if I am paying this much money I'd rather go to a better place where humans are treated like people.

I love this place; I don't mind the service at all.. I mean, it IS a korean bbq.. have you guys been to others?? The service is always kind of on the brash, hurried side.. The food is excellent but it's best to just stick to the unlimited meat option. Otherwise, it's not really worth the smell sticking to your clothes for days. I would also recommend trying the octopus too.. the flavors are awesome! Then again, their other meat (I prefer the marinated, but my husband swears by it otherwise) has great flavors as well.. I can understand why some people would not prefer BBQ Hut, but I crave it so often and its location is great for me.. If I lived closer to the city, I probably wouldn't drive as far as Schaumburg as often as I do.. but UNLIMITED meat! =D

Very interesting experience unique restaurant. I selected the all you can eat Korean bbq. I was with a large group and sat in the private area with bbq pits on the tables. The Korean beer called OB was weak the tea was served in large plastic cups for used for water and soda I prefer tea served in an appropriate cup. The food was very good and the service was surprisingly outstanding. The BBQ pits were very clean the the smoke was not unbearable. Your clothes and hair will smell so if you are planning to go somewhere afterwards you will reek of BBQ Korean food. I like this restaurant for Korean bbq and would visit again. The quality of the food is good and makes for an entertaining night out. It's fun to try new things and for me this was a new thing and I had a lot fun and good food.

I love everything about this place. I have eaten at several other Korean restaurants and this place is my favorite. The owners will go out of their way to make sure your dinning experience was the best they can offer. If its your first time eating Korean, let them know. If you like it spicy let them know. They think most Americans don't eat spicy so they automatically make a milder dish. Its good but does not have all the flavor as the Korean style. I try to eat here as often as possible you should too.

Been here twice during my visit to Chicago area. Their meat selections are great and the banchans they provide are plenty as well. As far as kbbq is concern, its average. The only thing that kind of got my attention was the lady at the counter. She was not very nice and I thought she was gonna kick out this one elderly customer but she was pulled away by another person who works there. She also did not help the server that night and the server was waiting on multiple tables. I hope that service will improve and a little more variety on the veggies will be great too. Price is ok too, typical for what they charge at any AYCE kbbq.

This place has all you can eat KBBQ. ($25 per person. I came here twice already because it was that good. I love all the options of meat you can order and you cook it all front of you, it's different and a great experience! The employees are really nice and have no problem of helping with any request. The downsides: -If you come with a group of 5 or more, they add 18% gratuity to your bill. -I order green tea and it tasted like corn tortilla (I'm not sure why) -The hot plate has to be lit up more than once because it kept dying out. -2hrs limit Even with the downsides, I will come again for the all you can eat! (Make sure to come with a empty stomach).

The food is delicious but There is this waiter there, I don't remember her name but she works almost everyday she has short hair, kind of chunky. Because of her, my family and I choose to not go back. For many reasons. 1. We ask her to let us grill our own food and she refused to let us. 2. She gives us unwanted attitude. 3. Denies our request. 4.overall rude in a sarcastic way I mean in my opinion if I was waiting the table id be delighted if people wanted to do things on their own. Don't get me wrong the food is very delicious. But for example today My family and I walked in there hoping to have a good meal but after seeing the same waitress again we turned around and walked out because we did not want to get stuck with her. She's the only waitress. I understand this is a lot to say about one person but if I wasn't dead serious would I take the time to write this review ?

Today I stopped for dinner and was disappointed $16.99 for Kimchi with tofu. I ordered #37 and it supposed to be pork-belly kimchi, true is that it was mostly kimchi with several pieces of white tofu, and counted it was maybe few small pieces of pork belly, to do it I had to dig up in kimchi. Not sure why the name say pork- belly it should be Kimchi with.... They charge $25 for all you can eat and $17 for kimchi which is cabbage with onion - for me that dish is a joke.

All you can eat kbbq! I never knew there was one so close to my house. My family went there to eat yesterday for dinner. Some of their assortment of meats is different than most places, but that's a good thing. We had chadol (brisket), tongue, samgyupsal (pork belly), moksal (pork neck meat), spicy intestines, spicy stomach, tripe, bulgogi. Yeah, we tried a lot. My favorites were the intestines, stomach, & tripe. I'm an offal girl. I liked that the intestines, stomach, & tripe came out in their own foil packets to put directly on the grill. They are actually already cooked so all you have to do is warm them up! The stomach was the family favorite! We all liked that one. Other than that, everything else was meh. The banchan was not good. I barely touched it, except the kimchi. Their kimchi was very good. The soup that they give you after your meal was seaweed soup. Usually it's soybean paste soup or naengmyun. Anyway, the seaweed soup tasted like water and seaweed. I didn't eat mine. I did not like the taste. They also didn't have fried rice at the end of the meal. Boooo. I'm sure I'll still be back when I have kbbq cravings. Just an fyi, it costs $24.99/person & they automatically put an 18% tip for parties of 5 or more.

My sister and I have been going out to lunch a couple times a months , for years . Recently we decided to try the BBQ Hut . I can honestly said it was one of the best dinning experiences , that we have encountered. The seafood pancake was outstanding, the Ojingeo bokkeum , which is squid stir fried was excellent . And all the side dishes were exceptional, and may I add that when I asked for extras side dishes the waitress was extremely prompted and courtesy.. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any one interested in excellent food and friendly service , thank you for a beautiful afternoon Cindy !!! That was are waitress.

It was a fun experience, completely different taste to what I am used to. Some of the sauces were unbearable but people who I went with loved them, so to each their own. Service was amazing, the lady had dishes out before we even asked for them, through out our time there she was there just about the whole time assisting us with everything, definitely will come back. Some of the meat was amazing, others was decent. Definitely something to try at least once.

service is really bad! We gave them a second chance ,hoping the service and the food would get better. I was wrong! They increased the price to $25/ person. We have to ask for lettuce, garlic, sauce..ETC. They also don't give you many side dishes. When we ordered more meat, they asked us to finish what's on table first. I explained that we don't eat the same thing here, some of us was looking for something else. Still...They didn't bring us meat. WTH!! basically...do not come here! Koreana is way better..

Went here with my family (3 adults, 2 kids) on an early Fri evening around 6pm. We used to come here regularly up until about 2yo after this place did away with the AYCE option; without the AYCE, the svc and quality just didn't earn our patronage. But after reading the reviews on the return of AYCE here for the past year or so, we finally decided to give this place another chance ths past weekend. We went in aware of the 2hr cap on the AYCE although the server made no mention of this interestingly. We ordered 3 rds of meats... 1ST RD: 2 orders of chadol (thinly sliced beef brisket) and 2 orders of samgupsal (pork belly). Both meats were tender and overall average quality (what I would expect for an AYCE place). 2ND RD: Repeat of 1st Rd to see if 1st Rd was a fluke. Meat quality was consistent (I mention this b/c some restaurants sometimes taper down the quantity and/or quality during subsequent rounds) and the svc was surprisingly attentive on bringing out the meats as well as on refilling banchan/sidedishes, lettuce wraps, seasoned scallion salad, oils, etc. 3RD RD: Ordered 1 order of jumuluk (they serve thinly sliced ribeye here and not the shortrib steaks we were hoping for) and 1 order of bulgogi. The cuts of beef were tender and flavorful (esp the bulgogi) and made for a nice end to this evening's gluttony. All said and done, the above feast was served and devoured in 1hr, 15min! A successful dinner, I would say. We really weren't expecting good svc, so this evening was a pleasant surprise and maybe a fluke, but we'll have to come back to see if this place deserves to be our mainstay once again as there are so few AYCE Korean BBQ options in Chicago these days. This place is definitely worth a 2nd chance to those who have written this place off in the past.

this review is for the food we ordered from the menu (we did not try the all-you-can-eat bbq)...the banchan (side garnishes) were terrible - small amount, not fresh, limited in selection (kimchee was sour and old)...the main dishes were as bad - small portion and not very good...the price was expensive considering the tiny portion...but the place was very clean (including the bathrooms)...the restaurant should focus more on their dishes instead of concentrating on what k-pop music videos of wonder girls or girls generation to show on the multiple screens...

The types of Korean BBQ places I'm used to allow you to get as much meat as you want, buffet style. Ordering our meat was definitely different. Service was really fast, although we were the only ones in the restaurant. But my cousin said that usually they're slow to getting you your meat. Unlimited buffet is also for two hours, which is a weird concept to me, especially for the price you pay. We ordered the brisket, pork belly, bulbgogi, Circle steak, and then had repeat orders. Everything tasted great. I'm a huge fan of side dishes, so getting my fill of kimchi was a huge bonus. Overall, it's a nice place especially with the unlimited. However, I'm just not a fan of the time limit. I felt like I was in a hurry to eat my food. I'm the type that likes to take their time when eating at a Korean BBQ place, mainly because waiting for the food to cook was always good for conversation time. But, apart from that, I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner was the rudest person i have ever met. Me, my bf, and his 4 yr old daughter were here for lunch. My bf and I decided to go for their all you can eat (AYCE) meat and we decided to just order an entree for his daughter because we know she won't be able to eat that much. The server states that the owner doesn't allow this because basically if one person orders the AYCE, all the person in that table needs to order it as well. We understand that its gonna be hard to distinguish who orders who, however, there were only 3 of us in the table and its easy for them to observe us. We ended up leaving and going to royal buffet because the owner gave us an option to just leave or do that AYCE. I guess they would rather lose customers, Its such a shame! I also noticed that they took off that kalbi or beef short rib from the AYCE menu. Now, it really gave me a reason not to come back here. I'd rather travel to niles and have the AYCE in woori village or just eat in koreana restaurant than eat here. They have more choices and good food.

Update on my previous review. This place I believe has been under new management/owner. The lady that served us was not that friendly. When you ask a question regarding the menu, I felt like she expect me to know all of this. We came as a group of 5. The 2 men in our group would like to order the unlimited meat. They refused to offer that to us. She said, ALL of us in the group should be ordering the unlimited too! seriously? But if the 2 men in our group will be seated in a separate table, then they will be served the unlimited. The food remains good. They serve lunch meals that are reasonably priced. Bulgogi lunch for only 7.99$ and it comes with rice, vegetables and siomai I think.

Solid 4 stars. I like this KBBQ place compared to others simply for the unlimited meat option they have here. I went to one in Chicago once with a group, paid like 20 bucks and barely ate anything. Been here a few times with a group of 4 or so and always do the unlimited for $25 per person. They changed it so that you can only be there for 2 hours now, which is meh. This last time I was there for the full 2 hours but there was a lot of waiting, whether it was for the meat to cook or for them to bring out more meat. But I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The beef bulgogi and other beefs were pretty good. Pork belly was delicious but I could have done with out the pork sirloin. Ordered the chicken one (not gizzard) but the group didn't like that one at all. Squid bulgogi was all right but we didn't get spicy and that possibly was the reason it had like no flavor. Staff is always nice whenever we go, but sometimes i feel like they don't think we know what we're doing and start it for us. One time a bus boy literally just stood there and cooked for us for like a good 15-20 minutes even though we didn't ask and he didn't even say anything. Weird

I gave them 3 stars because the food was great and the waitress helped us with cooking our food. When the bill came, me and my gf decided to give her 10% tip but then she came back and asked for more tip because she wants 15% tip. Very unprofessional..

It was an amazing first time experience. I never had KBBQ before. I went with a group of 13 people, and we made reservations a day earlier. The reserved area was a reasonable size and very clean. It had one TV screen that would play the up-to-date kpop music videos. TVs were displayed throughout the entire restaurant. The biggest screen is when you walk through the entrance. The volume of those tv's could probably be adjusted, but it didn't matter so much since my group was to be louder either way. The bathrooms are very clean to my surprise. In fact, it's as pretty as the restaurant itself (I know. It's funny to say). Service was very friendly and excellent. They always checked up on our group once in awhile for water refills, more orders of the sides (such as rice. first bowl is free... or fish cakes and veggies). We ended up splitting 3 checks... Although it did get complicated for some reason. I'm relieved that the staff was calmly handling the checks and process. Food- since I never been to any other KBBQ place (or had any), I would say that the food is tasty! I shared an egg bibimbap served in a sizzling bowl, and lots of beef. The bulgogi was the best! I loved handling the barbecuing grill. We received lettuce, this rice cake roll thingy that I don't know the name of, sauced cucumbers, and rice. The plates that people eat off of are small, not to my surprise since I know some Asian cultures eat rather small. So, I never felt to sickly full. In terms of price, the food is still expensive. I apparently had to pay $21 (yes, I was in a group... but apparently our calculations added up to this per person +additional charges and tax. I wouldn't say that we ordered a ton). Though, my friend told me that this place has the cheapest prices compared to other BBQ houses. I think all BBQ places will be expensive. I would say that this place is worth it.

I came here on a weekday evening and the restaurant was close to empty--there was only one other group present. Nonetheless, the service was great. The ahjumma working constantly checked on our table to see if we needed anything. I ended up ordering the soondubu jiggae, which was quite satisfying. There wasn't anything special about the banchan, but I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have radish (my fave). I will definitely have to come back for AYCE KBBQ.

Very friendly! I really enjoy the food here. It is especially good during lunch when they have their lunch time specials for $7. They include a main course and 6, yes 6, sides! At dinner, I typically take out. The bimbimbop is good. However, my favorite dish so far has actually been the most surprising: a cold, noodle soup. It was so tasty and spicy that I drank up every last drop! So why the four stars?: price. While lunch is reasonable, they raise their prices for dinner. I don't notice there being a bigger portion that would require the price rise.

Had a very good experience here! I love Korean BBQ but haven't had it since I was in LA a while back. They have an unlimited BBQ option that we did with our friends... The bulgogi was so amazing... My normally picky son couldn't stop eating! I also loved all the side dishes. Kimchi was delicious and I particularly like the pickled radish ( sweet and sour ). Service was super attentive, what a pleasant surprise! Everyone there was really nice. Also... Unlimited BBQ has a 2 hour limit but we were done in just over an hour, because the service was prompt and efficient. Nice for a change. Can't wait to go back again. I think I'm going to have to take my mom to try ...

The ownership has changed for the better. Service is 10 times better than it was. Food quality is much better and they have a bigger selection now for the "all you can eat" for $24.99!!! It was overall an excellent experience and I would go back more often now. This is a must try for all fans of Korean food.

My brother selected this location for his birthday dinner and they were very accommodating to our group. This was my first time trying Korean BBQ. I was a little worried when we sat down to look at the menu and I had no idea what anything was. We were immediately served over 15 mini-plates of different dishes to try. I tried them all but not a lot were my cup of tea. Our meat selections came out quickly as did the appetizers and fried rice. After the first bite of meat I was already a fan of Korean BBQ. We tried the squid but I think it was overcooked in the tin foul. The parts that were edible were tasty. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful when making selections. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting great service and incredible food!

Despite some of the other reviews, when we're here we tend to get great service. Maybe because it's always a large group? I suppose I am also a bit biased as to the five star rating as I am not a native Chicagoan. The Twin Cities food scene does many, many things well. Korean is not one of them. BBQ Hut has become a regular stop for me and has never disappointed with authenticity, taste or service. Price is a bit on the higher side but we always do unlimited so I'd expect to pay a bit more. Alcohol is usually involved which never helps the bill...but usually does help the meal. I love the variety of sides, their eagerness to keep the food coming and overall atmosphere. Will continue to be an out of town regular.

The food was okay. The service was horrible. There are a lot of people that have had a similar horrible service. Our water was never refilled, it took her 30 mins to bring out raw meat that we had to cook. Anyways, long story short we thought a 10% tip was very generous for our experience . As we proceeded to exit the restaurant our server ( older Asian lady) hunted us down and DEMANDED more Money for her tip and we were shocked but since she cornered us we gave her more money. Please don't let her bully you . Now that we read other reviews we feel bad for caving into her pressure. Long story short the waitress ruined our dinning experience.

BBQ Hut is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ but not really. The meal starts off great but quickly starts to decline. You're often waiting for the waitress to bring you the meat. At times, you have a hot grill but no meat since you're still waiting. Unfortunately, you also get the stink eye if you are there for too long or order too much. They'll start to give you meat that hasn't been marinated as long which isn't as flavorful. The pan chan (side dishes) selection is also limited to kimchee and pickled vegetables. Surprisingly, they didn't have green onions. I would have liked to have seen myulchi (anchioves) or pajun (pancakes) like at other BBQ buffets. Why do I keep going there? For $22.95, you also have your choice of different cuts of meat from ribeye, kalbi (marinated short ribs), samgyupsul (pork belly), squid, and etc. For the location, BBQ Hut is convenient for being within a 5 minute drive. It is also unique since there is no other Korean BBQ buffets in Schaumburg. Although not the best, it still satisfies the cravings to binge on kalbi. If you are willing to drive 20 minutes away from the area, there are other Korean BBQ buffets that are better for the same price.

Although unlimited BBQ has a cap for 2 hours, and my family are definitely meat eaters, we can't possibly just eat 2 hours straight of meat! We tried though, and about 1 1/2 hours later, we threw in the towel. Very attentive service. We kept asking for extra lettuce, onions and sweet potatoes, and the servers didn't seem to mind at all. Overall a fantastic experience. We will be back for sure.

We went there for their all you can eat dinner special. The food was fresh, the price was very reasonable, and the portion was very generous! They also have a few items that are usually not offered at some other Korean BBQ places. This place is under new ownership, and the staff/owners are extremely helpful.

I came in on Friday evening. It was not too busy. I was so excited because of decoration. It is a nice place. Food was ok, but I waited 15 mins for lettuce, asked until the fourth time with four different waitresses. Stop eating in that 15 mins then waited another 10 mins for the slice square tofu, and finally got it after asking twice?!?! Couldn't understand when they were around me?

Being that this was my first time at Korean BBQ joint, I am rating this place based on stomach satisfaction only. Obviously, my stomach was a fan. After waiting awhile for our server to greet us (we were sat without our third person which I would not recommend here unless you know what you want to order right away. [They seem to ignore you until they see you are ready.] No messing around here with efficiency.) We started with the pan fried dumplings which I thought were pretty amazing, especially when dipped in the awesome soy/chili/garlic sauce that they came with. Maybe I was just hungry. For our entrees, we all went for the $22 all-you-can-eat grill (and ended up only having three things...I would recommend going hungry so you get your money's worth and can try more options). We ordered Bulgogi, Kalbi, and Spicy Chicken. ALL were delicious. I didn't have the patience for the chicken to steam in the little foil packet, so I mostly had the two beef orders and the veggies. AND lots of the sides. I have NO idea what any of the sides or sauces were but they were all awesome. Most of them were spicy too which made me happy because I likeah the spice. I also really liked the bean paste and the little bowl of pure sodium they put in front of me. (Not sure what either are really called but both are YUMMY.) Overall, the service was decent (the ladies checked on our grill several times and made sure that we were cooking everything correctly, got us refills, and asked if we were okay), the food was pretty good, and the experience was fun. I would definitely come back again.

Service can be a little shoddy at times- had to ask for water and the miso soup twice, but might've been because this place was packed with people. But even with the unimpressive service, it turns out I'd love their food enough to let it go. We got the beef combo- comes with lettuce, sweet potato, onions, etc. and miso soup, which fed and satisfied 4 people. Also got the dol sot bibimbap, which has been the most authentic-tasting I've had so far. Spent around $80 for a party of four, all of whom left the restaurant on a "meat daze," which is always a good sign ;) Overall, I'd say this place is worth a try. My family and I will definitely be repeat customers.

When "Jigeul" (as written in Korean on the sign) first opened up they had one of the best supplies of meat I'd seen in Chicago Korean BBQ joints. Beautiful marbled ribeye cuts that just melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, that only lasted about 6 months before they lost that source of beef. The replacement was okay but disappointing to say the least. Fast forward several years... I know that when you choose the all-you-can-eat option that the meat quality is not going to be very good. Tough cuts that they've tried to tenderize. No matter as long as you're really hungry and eat your money's worth. The problem is this place keeps bringing out worse and worse meat the longer you sit and eat. Stuff will come out literally frozen if you stay there long enough. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. The last time I ate there, and that will be my last time ever, one waitress very condescendingly chided my wife and I for allowing the cooking surface to burn. I explained to her that they weren't bringing out our requested meat in a timely fashion so the pan would just start burning. She then proceeded to instruct us like we were little children how to operate the burner. I had had just about enough at that point and told her that if she didn't want it to burn that she could supply the meat on time and cook her damn self for us like other waitresses were doing for their tables. At that point she realized her mistake and started apologizing profusely but the damage had already been done. We lost our appetite and left. The only good thing about this place is that they have a veggie bar that is self serve so you can bring as many onions, garlic, mushrooms or lettuce to go with your meat and not have to worry about the stink eye from your waitress for requesting more. It really is a shame what this place has become and I really hope they do something quickly about their reputation.

I love Korean BBQ, but I didn't like this place at all. The meat was terrible, and pretty expensive on top of it. We ordered Kalbi (which is usually my favorite) and I only wanted one bite of it. Plus they have strange rules about minimum amount of food that you can order. After our first plate of meat, we definitely didn't want another, but we HAD to order it. The service was slow, and it literally took the whole meal for someone to get me a cup of water. I will not be coming back here.

we were just at San Soo Gab San in the city a month or so ago and we had mentioned that we missed the all you can eat at BBQ Hut since it wasn't so expensive. well, guess that's out the window as BBQ Hut is no longer all you can eat. The food there was pretty decent, but the biggest draw for this place was the all you can eat for ~$22. We were there last weekend and it was probably the last time we will be going there. Regardless of the food and it's no longer all you can eat, the service was horrible, and the place wasn't even packed! it took about 2 hours for dinner because of all the waiting we had to do. we didn't even get rice with our meal! we had to ask the guy 3 or 4 times and even then, we were finished with the meat before we even got the rice. so we just sat there watching korean pop music videos as we waited for our food to come so we could grill it... not sure why it would take longer than 20 minutes to bring raw meat to our table for us to cook. the portions were also very small. we grilled up the kolbi and it filled up a small app plate, hardly enough for one person to eat and it was $22 for it! water and the side dishes weren't being filled up as well and we had to keep asking for it. all in all, such a bad experience for a place that had just had a remodel and rolled out a new menu. time for us to find a new go to for Korean BBQ...

My Wife and I stopped by this place for dinner. We've been to a lot of Korean barbecue locations so we are not new to it. I rated to stars based on a few things. I got the all you can eat for two hours and my wife ordered a chicken dish being that she didn't eat any other type of meat. The waitress was then instructed by the manager that my wife could not eat at the same table because I was eating the all you can eat option. Crazy I know. Then after going back and forth they agreed to let her stay but they insisted that they cook my wife's chicken for her witch at first seemed strange to us. Fact is they didn't trust that my wife was just going to eat the chicken and not eat anything else that I had ordered off of the all you can eat option. We found this to be very unprofessional and very disrespectful. The place was also cold they did not have any heat on. The waitress that we had was a nice person but she kept on forgetting to bring things that we had asked for simple things sugar, drinks our condiments sauces things like that. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone nor will I ever visit this place ever again.

I love BBQ, any kind, but not this place. 1. The quality of the meat was terrible. My wife, me and two boys, had lunch there ($23 unlimited BBQ). The pork was awful so we only tried one dish. The spicy squid was packed with carrots and onion, I guess squid only counted 20% in the whole package, and was very chewy, or may I say it is rubberish chewy? So we only ate beef, but the color and the thickness of the beef always are different, only thing common is it tasted like dry plywood. 2. Service was terrible. 15 minutes after we started, when I asked for another dish of beef, the lady told me we need to finish first, then order. So we finished in a minute, then it just took forever for another dish to come. We just waited there do nothing, I had to turn off the fire. It was after 2pm so not many customers around, but nobody came to add tea for us. I only had a small cup of tea from the very beginning to the end, I had to walk to the kitchen to ask for more tea. With this kind of service, I don't know how this 15% tip can be justified? $118, lunch for a family of 4, unpleasant experience, will never come back. Should be 0 star.

Nice spot for Korean BBQ. While we didn't have the cook table running, the food was still good. I ordered the Pepper Steak which is different than what I normally order, but it was very good. I would go back again to have their traditional BBQ and cook at the table.

expensive. all you can eat. can't beat that. i love the ladies who own/work here - they are always friendly to me. any time i want to have a unique dining experience - especially with a group of friends - bbq hut is the default location. all you can eat meat + cooking at the table + soju = a fun time! :)

Food is Great but the only problem is service. It takes forever for anyone to come and seat you and when you do that is the last time you see them. I would ask them over and over again for things but they act as if they dont hear you when i look over and they are on their phone. C'mon it shouldn't take 30 min to get a check when we are obviously done with our meal. I don't think i will be going back there any time soon.

A mouse ran across the floor while I was eating dinner here on Sunday. The food was still pretty good, though.

I've been here several times, and each time the service is sub-par. I've been to enough Korean places (and being Korean) service is not their #1 priority..but the food. So it's never a real big deal to me as long as the food is good and there is lots of it. Here is the thing- this is an AYCE bbq place, but they are stingy with the amount of meat they give you at a time. I understand it is to make sure people don't leave leftovers, but the first couple of plates should be bigger than a salad plate. Other than that- the marinated kalbi, spicy pork, bulgogi and squid are excellent and that is the main reason I go there. They have a veggie bar with onions, dduk (rice cakes), carrots, lettuce, mushrooms, squash, etc.. that you can bbq as well. That's super nice and convenient. The servers are nice, but sometimes a get frazzled with busy. If you can be patient, then it's worth the trip. Also, very clean, quiet and always ample parking.

Great place for kalbi as it is $20/pp for all-you-can-eat! They have many choices of meats, and the garnishes are on a small buffet table in the middle of the restaurant. This was a major plus for me because I love making lettuce wraps with my meat, and it was readily available (usually, you'll have to ask for lettuce at a Korean restaurant). It's spacious and comfortable in here, but you will still reek of BBQ afterwards. It's situated in a strip mall, so parking is easy.

The all you can eat for $30 a person is well worth it. You choose the meat and bbq it at your table. The waitresses drop an enormous amount of small side dishes at your table (none of which can be identified). Go on a Friday or Saturday afternoon or evening and get a fairly robust salad bar (also some of which can not be identified). Highly advise going with outgoing and hungry guest(s). Definitely for groups of 2 to 8.

Before I came here with friends, I was totally turned off by the lack of service, and food. I decided to give it a second chance after my co-workers recommending Korean bbq buffet here. I must say it has improved a lot. Service was great. Just FYI, it is a Korean restaurant... they won't come by to see if you're okay or watch to see if you need anything. Which in American culture would seem like bad service, which is agreeable since we are in the USA. Just push the button to buzz them and they'll come running for whatever you need. The buffet price was reasonable for what they offer. You have to go up for lettuce, onions, mushrooms and salad if you want it, which is nice because I love my veggies grilled. They also have very good marinated kalbi, the chadeolbaegi was a bit fatty, and their cow intestines were precooked and served wrapped in foil to heat, was good. Afterwards they offer soybean soup, which we passed up on and after the entire meal they serve shikae (sweet rice drink) as a dessert. (It's customary for most Korean places to offer something similar like coffee, or yogurt soft drink.) I'd go here again since it's close but overall for the price I'd rather go all the way to Niles, IL to JangChoongdong for the high quality of meat and mulnengmyun. Oh btw, fyi, the ceiling is open so it is very drafty, dress warm.

Do not go with a large group. I went with a large group today and they wanted us to order something else besides Galbi because they said we were eating too much of it. Isn't it all you can eat? Yeah sure it is the most expensive meat they serve there I didn't see a sign at the door that said "all you can eat... except for Galbi cause it's too expensive". This is how you LIE To a customer but keep them semi happy - "I'm sorry, but can I make a suggestion on some different meats because we were really busy today and we're running very low on marinated galbi." This is how you lie to a customer and piss them off - "Can you guys order something else cause we're almost out of it and it takes too long to cut it and marinate it... we have like 5 other choices of meat... dont' you wanna eat something else? They're really good." Also when they suggested that we get some other meat... we got a plate of chadorbeggi (thinly sliced brisket) and it came out blue. The stamping of the meat that is supposed to be cut off was still there. When asked about the mysterious blue meat they said it was because it was cooked that it became blue. Nuff said. The service here is exactly the reason why traditional Korean restaurants in Chicago are struggling. I've said this many times now and I'm gonna say it once more... if you guys don't evolve and upgrade your service to modern standards, you should sell or close down your restaurant because there are many good ones popping up... the 1.5 and 2nd generation Koreans will drive you out faster than you can say "Aigo Cham Na!" I paid $30 tonight and you better believe next time I'm taking my $30 to the other side and going to San. Actually, San kinda sucks too. WHERE THE F#$% ARE ALL THE KOREAN RESTAURANTS UP IN THIS BIATCH!!!!?!?!? oh yeah! we asked for extra bowls of rice and it was only a 50% success rate. Is it really my fault for asking too much from a korean restaurant? My friend said I'm complaining for no reason because... yes... I've lived with this kind of service my whole life.... and yes I have almost come to expect it... BUT COM'ON!!!! ok i'm done... bbq hut... good luck. I'll come back when I find out the management has changed.

Terrible service, she never bothered to refill our waters and check if our food was ok when it was not flavorful at all. Very disappointmented. Never coming back.

Good Korean food, but nowhere near the best. Great place for friend and family get togethers because of the buffet. I remember when they first opened a few years ago, it was 14.99 a person but now its a little over 20 bones. 20 dollars would be totally worth it if they had kal bee in the buffet but they don't. They have all the other Korean meats available for the buffet but not kal bee, which I find kind of annoying but understandable.

I ate here this past weekend and I have mixed feelings about it. Some of the dishes were better than the ones I've had at other places. The ddukbogi (sp?) was really good. It tasted flavorful and was spicy. The kimchi was also really good. Besides that, everything else was a hit or miss. I wasn't too fond if some of the side dishes. I understand that it's normal to use sesame oil frequently in Korean dishes, but it seemed to be the only flavor in all the side dishes. Another reason that affected my impression of the place was the service. Our waitress was nice at first until we said we weren't doing the unlimited BBQ. The reasons for not doing this is because half the group wanted an entree while half wanted BBQ. If we were to do the unlimited BBQ, it would've been $22+/person and everyone would have to do it. They seemed taken aback when we told them we didn't want to do the unlimited BBQ. Service went down from there. They knew and we knew we'd save money by not doing it that way. Our food came out and we were nibbling at it since we were waiting for rice. After 10 minutes we finally got our rice. When we asked for more water, the waitress quickly walked away and ignored our request. We had to find them to get our check at the end. When paying, they told us our tip wasn't enough. Our total was about $180 and we left over $20 in tip. I think if it was a mandatory 15% tip, they should've just added it into the bill. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, food was decent, but service could've been better.

Horrible service. The waitress did nothing but give us our food and give a check. We tipped 10% on a 60 dollar check. She actually came back and said she should get 20? Insane! Food was ok, nothing great.

So last weekend, my college friends and I are trying to decided where and what to eat. It is a showdown between Japanese and Korean, city versus suburbs. The deciding factor was one guy's fiancee who really doesn't like driving to the city and already had Japanese the day before. Out goes sushi in the city. We narrowed down our choices to a few Korean places and settled on the all you can eat special that BBQ Hut offered for about $21 a person. It turns out that I've been here before, I met one of my friends for lunch a few months back, but I never caught the name or location of this place. I remember it being pretty good too, so as we walked in the door, I recognize the interior, I exclaim "This place is pretty good, I think the rest of you will like it." I already see this as a good sign. For coming at the trailing end of prime time dinner hour, the five of us were served promptly, despite an almost packed house. We went straight for the all you can eat meat selection, and immediately placed orders for kalbi, bulgogi, and spicy chicken. The waitress fired up our grill, and brought us our side dish selection, which I should mention isn't as numerous, or as interesting, as I've experienced at other Korean restaurants. The kimchi and spicy dishes were on the hot side, so the less tolerant of the group stayed away. The hot dishes were spicy, but not as flavorful as I was used to, however the veggie sides were fresh, as was the lettuce used to wrap the meat. The bulgogi was nicely marinated with a taste that was flavorful, but not salty or overwhelming. I've tasted some really strong and salty bulgogi, and some really bland bulgogi, but BBQ Hut falls exactly in the middle. And it goes with the cut of the meat, which looks like it was shredded or pulled. Wrapped up in lettuce, with some rice and side dishes, and it was great. Eaten alone, I had no complaints, though my friends did make some comments about the shredded appearence of the meat. This didn't stop us from placing two more orders though...we're just picky eaters. As a bonus, the bulgogi was mixed in with mushrooms and onions, which gave the meat more kick once the juices started flowing on the grill. The kalbi was as expected, and was of average size, and taste. The chicken was spicy and tasted juicy. Yes, the marinate was spicy, even for me. We somehow managed to cook it right too, as past experience at other Korean DIY grilling places has led us to either to burn the chicken, or repeatedly throw the same piece of meat on the fire as we bit into an undercooked portion. Personally I enjoyed the bulgogi the most. I've had better at other places, but there was a pleasant understated taste that left me feeling satisfied. Too bad this group of friends I went with don't really drink, so I couldn't enjoy an OB with the food. The sacrifices I must make...sigh. All in all, the damage came out to $28 a person after drinks and tip. I've spent more on lesser Korean food and I am glad we picked this place as it's back on my food map for the area. Pros: Nondescript Korean place in a typical suburban strip mall. Good food at a decent price, waitstaff kept the food coming (once they realized they couldn't ignore us). Cons: Can find better Korean places to eat at, waitstaff was slow to get around to us at first, side dishes lack variety of other places, location is easily missed (but I knew we were in the right mall because I could smell it). To sum it up: If you want a laid back place without trying to make impressions, this is it. And maybe, somedays, that's all that you really need to fully satisfied. And an OB beer too (yes, I still want my beer from last weekend).

I actually convinced my culturally xenophobic family to try Korean food for the first time here. I myself know next to nothing about Korean , gleaming what little I do know from watching M.A.S.H. all those years ago. We saw an episode of Check Please where they reviewed another place in the city , my son thought it looked cool , so that got my foot in the door. We entered the place early lunchtime and had to stand around for a few minutes before we were noticed. We got a look at the menu and I immediately realized at that point my family was petrified with the selection. I myself wasn't exactly brimming with confidence , but put on a brave face for the family. I guess that showed when the server came to our table , she instantly came up with some suggestions. I already saw the buffet table empty , and that's really what I wanted to try. I thought the servers suggestions sounded good , so I ordered the rib eye steak. It came shredded in a really tasty sauce , very different from what I'm used to but good. The son ordered the terriyaki beef and was very pleased with his selection based on his renewal to the clean plate club. The wife even seemed to enjoy her lunchtime chicken box , although she really only touched the chicken and the white rice. None of us were thrilled with the soup , but I'm sure that came out of preference and not preparation. As for the famous multitude of Korean garnishes/ sides , they batted 0 for 7. I tried them all , and liked none of enough to continue to eat any of them. Again , I'm sure that one is a matter of preference and not a problem with preparation. To sum up , I had enough I enjoyed to be willing to get back there. I especially want to try the BBQ you make at your table , but it wasn't happening with my family there.

(1)Erik H.
(4)Jenny P.

Best Korean BBQ in the burbs! Very friendly service and atmosphere. Pork belly is very taste.

:) I'm so happy to have found this Korean BBQ place...yay for more food options in the burbs! ;)
(4)Corinne S.

(1)Boon K.
(2)Hang T.

(1)Marlo P.
(4)Gina S.
(3)Roland B.
(4)Erick P.
(5)Tiffany L.
i like this place. good chadolbaegi, good marinated kalbi. i usually just come here for those 2 meats. i also like that they provide duk to grill. probably not the smartest thing to do to fill up on duk, but grilled duk is yum.
(4)Jeanne L.

I will return someday.

the beef was good. service was bad. acted like we interrupted their nap time.

(5)Babii K.

(3)Caitana G.

(4)Tuyet N.
We came here for our anniversary dinner. That was an amazing time with us. The service is really good and friendly, the food is fresh and juicy. Specially, they have Tae yang -kpop start on TV
(5)Matura S.
service is really bad!

(3)Thomas T.
Weird
(4)Joseph G.
I gave them 3 stars because the food was great and the waitress helped us with cooking our food. When the bill came, me and my gf decided to give her 10% tip but then she came back and asked for more tip because she wants 15% tip. Very unprofessional..
(3)Angie L.
(5)Connie L.
(4)Long N.
Every time my family and I come to this town we always step in to this place to have dinner!
(5)Andrew L.

The waitress asked for more tip, I did not like how she walked back to our table to ask for more money

I love Korean food and I was very disappointed. The staff was rude. The food is over priced and not great. Our appetizers were cold. Don't waste your money or time.

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone nor will I ever visit this place ever again.

excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. i can't say anything bad about this place!

(4)Deepak N.
expensive. all you can eat. can't beat that. i love the ladies who own/work here - they are always friendly to me. any time i want to have a unique dining experience - especially with a group of friends - bbq hut is the default location. all you can eat meat + cooking at the table + soju = a fun time! :)
(4)Paul K.

(3)Nancy H.
(5)William P.

(1)Deez D.
(4)Thor V.
Overall, the atmosphere was nice, food was decent, but service could've been better.

very good korean bbq!!! try the all u can eat buffett for $22.95 trust me it's worth it
